Coached by Trade Copiers very own Matthew Little and after just missing out on promotion into the Universities top division, Newcastle University Men’s 1st team, secured their first silverware for over 5 years winning the 2017 Bucs Trophy.
A perfect combination of dedication and team work from all team members resulted in a 12 – 9 victory over University College London making the them the most successful Newcastle University men’s team of 2017.

This month saw a new addition to the team here at Trade Copiers. Joseph Slater has started this month in the Toner and Consumables department. Joseph will be helping unload and sort incoming stock as well as picking and packing of orders. Welcome to the team Joseph!
We have recently purchased a brand new trailer unit for our artic and we have now had it wrapped by AST Signs here in Penrith. They have done a fantastic job of the wrap and the unit is now out on the road delivering and collecting photocopiers throughout the UK.This brings our modern fleet of HGVs to a total of 5 enabling us to respond quicker to customers needs.
After a hectic 2016 which saw the company expand even further we would like to wish all of our customers our very best wishes for 2017 and say thank you for making 2016 yet another successful year for Trade Copiers. We aim to continue to improve even more on our service this coming year and we look forward to another year of working together with you.
January saw more additions to our team here at Trade Copiers. We are very pleased to welcome Adam Lympany to our Penrith Sales Office. Adam has joined us as a Consumables Account Manager
and he will be working very closely with the existing team in the toners and consumables department. The next time you need toner or consumables, give us a bell and why not ask for Adam and say hello?
Also joining us in this month is Lee Johnson. Lee has joined our warehouse and technical team to help the staff cope with the ever increasing workload. Lee has a background in the industry and we are sure he will prove to be an excellent addition to the team 'downstairs'.
We have a vacancy for a STOCK ASSISTANT to work in our Toners and Consumables Department. Duties to include checking in of deliveries, in-putting of stock onto our computerised stock system and the picking and packing of orders. There is an element of manual handling involved in this position.
This position would ideally suit an enthusiastic younger person looking for opportunities to progress in a forward thinking, rapidly growing company. No experience of Toners or Consumables is required as full training will be given. This is a full time position of 37.5 hours per week with 25 days paid leave plus bank holidays. The salary is negotiable and a full uniform will be provided.

To help us cope with the demands of our ever expanding export business we are pleased to announce that Josh Brough has joined the team here at Trade Copiers. Josh has joined us as an Export Assistant and will be helping the Export Manager, Ashley McCall, to continue to grow this side of the business as well as helping to continue the smooth running of exports. Welcome to the team Josh!
Having upgraded our ISO14001 accreditation to the newly released 2015 version earlier this year, October saw us undergoing our first external audit to the stricter 2015 version. We are extremely proud to announce that we passed with flying colours! Our Environmental Management System was highly praised by the auditor from QMS International and we received no observations or non-conformances. This is mainly due to the fact that we at Trade Copiers take our environmental obligations so seriously that we employ a full time Environmental Manager as well as having staff who are passionate about the environment and have bought into the companies policy of minimising our effect on the environment.
To help us manage our photocopier collections and deliveries more efficiently we have purchased a brand new addition to our fleet of vehicles this month. This is a brand new DAF XF 510 unit and we have taken on John Davidson, as a new member of staff to drive the new unit. John has many years experience in Class 1 driving and will be a welcome addition to our team here at Trade Copiers.
A large part of the reasoning behind the purchasing of this particular truck was its Euro 6 certified performance which goes hand in hand with our ISO14001:2015 certification helping deliver environmental benefits so not only can we manage more collections & deliveries we can do it in a more environmentally friendly manner. As yet the truck and trailer are not wrapped with our corporate logo but the truck is booked in already and once we receive our custom built trailer that will be booked into AST Signs for wrapping also.
This month saw three new additions to our team here at Trade Copiers.
Kirsty McMullen has joined us as Business Development Manager. Kirsty's main role will be out and about on the road visiting existing and potential customers.
Steve Lewis and Brandon Murdoch join our busy team in the warehouse. Their main roles will be loading containers with our export machines as well as helping with the unloading of deliveries of used copiers and general stock duties at our Penrith depot. Overt time the guys will be given training to enable them both to help our team of technicians in testing the used copiers which come into the warehouse.
Due to continued growth Trade Copiers Ltd are seeking to fill the following positions:
HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER
This is a
full time position working out of our busy Penrith Headquarters delivering and collecting photocopiers throughout the UK. The successful applicant will be driving our modern fleet of vehicles including Class 1, Class 2 and a 7 ton van.
No experience of photocopiers is required as full training will be given although there will be an element of heavy lifting so applicants should be fit and active. A Class 1 license and a current CPC card are required and applicants should be 25 years or over to comply with our insurance.
The position is Monday to Friday with no weekend working and will entail nights away through the week as required. There will be occasional work in our warehouse if there are no driving duties.
This is a full time position with 25 days paid leave plus bank holidays. The salary is negotiable and a uniform is provided.
Working out of our busy warehouse at our Penrith Headquarters this job will involve processing and testing of photocopiers into the warehouse, helping our team load and unload deliveries and collections as well as keeping the warehouse neat and tidy. No experience of photocopiers is required as full training will be given although there will be an element of heavy lifting so applicants should be fit and active.

Phase One of our the office re-build is now complete with all of the Sales Team sharing one large office instead of being spread about in separate offices. Phase Two of the upstairs refurbishment has now started with work progressing on a new conference room, and new offices for our Accounts Dept as well as for our Managing Director. Once these are completed we will get some photographs taken and upload them to this page.
As well as the office restructure we have spent some time looking at the way our team is organised. Because of our continued expansion and the fact we are now purchasing and selling more and more equipment and consumables, we found it necessary to create dedicated departments for our sales and purchasing teams. We believe that this reorganisation will streamline the way we do business and make it easier for our customers to get in touch with the right people first time.
Our new sales office is undergoing final finishing touches and once these are completed the sales team will be taking up occupancy - photos to follow.
Two new faces joined the ever expanding team at Trade Copiers in April. Simon Kean has joined the Export Department as Export Co-ordinator and Matthew Little has joined the Toner Department as Consumables Purchaser. A big welcome to both from all of the team here.
Our new Sales Office is rapidly taking shape and hopefully should be finished and occupied by early May.
Early March saw the start of our new project to 'wrap' all of our transport fleet with our corporate logo. The first vehicle to be wrapped was one of our lorries which prior to the wrap being completed was just a very boring white paint finish!
The wrapping was done locally by AST Signs and even if we say so ourselves the new design is looking extremely good. So, if your driving along and see one of vehicles please feel free to give it a hoot and a wave.
March has also seen the start of work on our brand new Sales Office at our Penrith HQ. The existing offices are being demolished and brand new offices are being built. This will give us a large, open plan Sales Office to hold 12 sales staff as well as a meeting room and new offices for other departments such as accounts. We have been assured these are going to super plush so watch this space!
We would like to wish one of our drivers, Simon, the best of luck as he embarks on his new career working in the gas industry. Simon leaves us with our very best wishes for the future. Jim Chisholm has joined us to replace Simon and a big welcome to Jim from all of the team here at Trade Copiers.
February also saw Stephen Armistead, Director, and Ashley McCall, Export Manager, take a business trip visiting customers in Dubai, Hong Kong and China.

Also in January we underwent an upgrade from our ISO14001:2014 certification to the updated, more stringent version of the environmental standard which came out late in 2015. We are one of the first companies in our sector to achieve this upgraded standard - ISO14001:2015 - and are very proud of not only holding the standard but leading the way when it comes to our environmental credentials.

New members of staff
September saw two new members of staff join the team here at an ever expanding Trade Copiers.
Chris Hill has joined us to work in the warehouse helping the current team in the loading and unloading of stock. Chris will also be trained up on the testing of new stock arriving into the warehouse including the full range of data clearance techniques to help ensure customers confidentiality.
Simon Daynes has also joined us this month, primarily to bolster our team of existing drivers who are constantly on the road delivering and collecting copiers all over the UK. Simon will also help out in the warehouse when not on the road. A big welcome to Chris and Simon from all of us at the Trade Copiers team.
